Cancellation of all training until further notice

This is to inform all cadets and specialists that trainings and rehearsals for the NCC Day Parade is cancelled. This includes all the three rehearsals for this week and next week. However, please check the blog frequently for any updates. There may or may not be training next week. Please get yourself ready. You would be informed again by Tuesday next week through the blog, phone call or in person, or either or all three.

This is due to the current flu, Influenza A (H1N1-2009).

For any further clarifications, you may contact USM Ashraf at 81124600 or ASM Kang Zhi at 93208020.

USM Ashraf and ASM Kang Zhi would like to remind all cadets and specialists to take care of yourself and remember to drink lots of water so as to not fall sick. NCC Day Parade may be postponed and we would not like you to miss any of the further rehearsals or even the actual day. Please also remember to keep yourself hygienic by washing your hands frequently to keep yourself flu free.

Confirmation on Rehearsals on NCC Day Parade

This post is to confirm all the rehearsals dates, attire, time and venue, so that no one get confuse with so many post. They are:

Rehearsal 1*
Date: Friday, 26th June 2009
Time: 0800hrs to 1300hrs
Attire: Half No. 4, Beret
Venue: Assemble at NCC Storeroom

Rehearsal 2
Date: Monday, 29th June 2009
Time: 1500hrs to 1800hrs
Attire: No.3 (No.4 with Badges), Beret
Venue: Assemble at the NCC Storeroom

Rehearsal 3
Date: Tuesday, 30th June 2009
Time: 1500hrs to 1730 hrs
Attire: Half School Uniform (T-shirt with School pants/shorts)
Venue: Assemble at the NCC Storeroom

**All Cadets and Specialists are reminded to bring their thermometer to all the above mentioned rehearsals dates. Failure to do so would result in you being send home and your attendance would be marked as ZERO and disciplinary actions would be taken against you.

*If you have went overseas during the holidays, you are not required to attend Rehearsal 1 (26th June 2009). Please contact USM Ashraf at 81124600 to inform him.


If you are not feeling well, or is unable to make it on any of the days of the rehearsal, and the actual day itself (1st July), you are to contact USM Ashraf at 81124600 or ASM Kang Zhi at 93208020 to inform either of them. You are to also provide a valid medical certificate to prove that you are feeling unwell.

The success of the parade is dependent on the hard work, commitment and resilience of each participant. With your strong support and enthusiasm I am sure we would make this year’s parade a defining moment for our unit.

There would be a meeting on the NCC Day Parade on Thursday, 25th June 2009. Please meet at 0800hrs at NCC Storeroom in Half No.4, Beret and Gloves.

NCC Day Rehearsal

Important Note

This is regarding the NCC Day Parade Rehearsal on 26th June. All cadets are to bring their Thermometer on the day of the rehearsal.This is due to Influenza A(H1N1).

Please also note that if you have went Overseas, you are Not Allowed to attend the training as well. We will have a make up reahearsal on the first day of school for the Whole unit 29th June.

We have also decided that there will be training one day before the actual parade(1st July) which is on the second day of school(30th June) from 1500hr - 1730hr latest. Attire will be Half school uniform(bring tshirt).

We will be contacting you and make sure the strength for the Rehearsal. Please tell us whether you have went overseas during the June Holidays.

Please also note that if you are not feeling well during the day of the rehearsal, please do not come. Please call me at 81124600 if you are not feeling well on that day.

NCC Day Parade Rehearsal

This is to inform all the members of Bendemeer NCC:

There would be 2 compoulsory rehearsals prior to the NCC Day Parade. The dates are:

Friday, 26th June 2009, 0800hrs to 1300hrs
Please assemble at the NCC storeroom by 0745hrs in your half No.4 attire with Beret

Monday, 29th June 2009, 1500hrs to 1800hrs
Please assemble at the NCC storeroom by 1445hrs in your full No.3 attire with Badges & Beret

*Only if the performance of the whole unit is not up to standard, there would be another rehearsal on:
Tuesday, 30th June 2009, 1500hrs to 1800hrs

More information would be given on 26th June 2009.

All cadets are to ensure the serviceability of their no.4 uniforms. If your boots or shoes are unserviceable kindly make arrangements to get it changed.

USM Ashraf and ASM Kang Zhi would like to remind all cadets that absentees for any of the are to be directed directly to USM Ashraf at 81124600. Absentees without a valid reason or Medical Certificate wuld be severly dealt with by CO, LTA Lawrence Ng.

Blog Maintenance completed, a whole look of the blog.

I have received many comments about the previous blogskin and I have decided that we should change it. After discussions with the other Specialist, we have decided to remove the Army blogskin and the song.

Please leave any comments about this skin and this whole new look of our blog. If you feel we need to add anything else in (e.g. Unit Photo,etc.), please indicate in the tagboard.

Announcement
Please keep your last week of June Holidays free (22/6 to 26/6). However, training would not be everyday. This message is to all members of the Unit. This is due to the rehearsal for NCC Day Parade conducted in the Morning Assembly on 1st July. Attendance is Compoulsary. Failure to turn up on any of the days without a valid reason would result in serious disciplinary actions by LTA Lawrence Ng. Please await phone calls from any of the Specialist for more details.
