Precision Drill Squad
Those in PDS, please practice at home with an umbrella!!!
We will not be having training until Thursday.
Therefore it is crucial for all of you to practice at home your moves until the next meeting.
Remember, the most important thing about PDS is our sharp movements and timing.
Im going to spam PDS videos and please please please learn from them!
okay.... im not asking all of u to be exactly like them(especially the last vid)
just take note of the simple things like how to execute simple arm, slapping thigh properly...
till then, i shall see u guys on thursday.

My sincere apologises.
Dear Part Cs' 2009,
I understand that there is some, little unhappiness growing in the Part Cs towards the future CLTs. To smoothen out our relationship and to boost our Bendemeer NCC standard, i wish to eliminate any grudges and clear all doubts.
Firstly, there are several reasons why the future CLTs have planned the Orientation Day 2009 nicely for you guys.
Whether personal or not, if you guys really want to know, do let me know and i will explain fully on why. Contact CDT Ronald via msn, or text. Yes, many posts that you guys anticipate yourself doing may be shattered when we told you that we will be using swords and color poles, meaning only a certified NCC Cadet Officer or higher may take up this post.
From what I hear, i understand that this will be your chance to show your planning skills but i would like to apologise sincerely and that we will do most of the plannings and we are sorry for disappointing you guys.
But rest assured, we will make Orientation Day 2009 a big hit! And, your juniors in Part A next year will be carefully guided and taught.
May BS NCC be on the right track to the road to GOLD!
Best Wishes,
Cadet Trainee Ronald Thian

Orientation 2010
Okay guys, the Future Cadet Officers have planned roughly what we want to showcase on orientation day...
For the performance, we planned to have the same thing as last year.
We plan to have a Parade Commander, 2x Armed Escort, 1 NCC Flag bearer, 1 Colours RSM.
These people will be wearing no.1 Uniform. Parade Commander and Flag Bearer will be a CLT as we will be using swords and Colour pole (with pike). The colours RSM will most probably be SSG Thinesh John as he holds the brown pace stick. The post for 2 armed escorts is vacant. All specialist may apply.
For PDS, SSG Sholihin and SSG Alvin Kan will be in-charge as both of them has the experience from performing for last year's orientation. CDT Vignesh together with myself will be the instructors to train more people for PDS. We planning to have 10 people in this performance (incl. Sholihin and Alvin). So now we need 8 more people to apply for PDS. These people will be awarded the coveted Basic PDS Badge on orientation day. CPL and above may apply.
I have some idea on how we're going to design our booth. We are going to split the booth into several sections. Individual Fieldcraft, Trainfire and Drills(parade & ceremonies). Firstly, i need an OIC for the booth and a 2IC. I also need IC-IFC, IC-Trainfire and 3x tour guides. On Orientation day, when the new sec 1 students enter our booth, the OIC and 2IC will be making sure that everything will be ensuring that everyone is suppose to do what they are suppose to do. The tour guides will be taking them to tour around the different sections on the booth. The IC for Trainfire and IFC will be conducting lessons for Some Part A and B cadets while the tour guides will be explaining to the sec 1 students what they are doing.
Several other things are still being planned. For any enquiries, please state in the tag board at the side of the blog or message me, CDT Muhd Ashraf at 9673 8916.

Camp Pinnacle 2009
Hey Guys! SSG Sholihin and Myself just returned from Camp Pinnacle and I'm proud to say, that this is one of the best camps ever. We had great fun, made new friends, and learnt new things in the process as well. Here are our experiences:
DAY 1:
We arrived in the camp, and left for SISPEC shortly after. There, we had this survival training programme where we had the opportunity to learn basic jungle training skills. We were taught how to make shelters, such as the "A-Frame" shelter, in which you could live in for several days. Next, the sirs taught us how to cook in the wild. He taught us how to catch those animals by using traps, and also which parts to eat, and not to eat. It was a bloody scene, and it was definitely not for the kind-hearted. We killed animals such as Frogs, Chickens, Quails, Eels, Crabs and Catfish. It was an experience not to forget!
Day 2:
We were brought to the RSAF Where we saw the planes in action. The best bit no doubt, was the ride on the C130 plane. It was great, and we were one of the lucky ones to do so. We were also given a talk from, the Air Force Recruitment centre. They were obviously trying to convince us to join the RSAF. We did other things as well, such as to go to the Flight Simulation Centre.
DAY 3:
Day 3 wasn't much as all we did was to go to the SYFC (Singapore Youth Flying Club). This was a place in which you could go to, if you aspire to be a pilot. Once you join, with the right guidance, you could pursue a private flight license. Once you do that, you could either join the RSAF Or Singapore Airlines. We also went to the Air Force museum, where we learnt on the history and past of our nation's air force.
DAY 4:
On this day, we were brought to the Navy. We toured two of our warships, the frigate, (and I can't remember the second one). The ships were huge, and there were lots of insights that we got to know about those ships. We were also brought to the NDU (Naval Divers Unit), where the Navy divers were trained. We saw a performance from the divers, and got a boat ride. At night, we had this night called as "Camp Pinnacle Night". Each platoon had to come up with a performance. The performances were great, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
So that definitely raps up our experiences in Camp Pinnacle. We have more to say but its hard to explain. I'm glad I got the opportunity to go to this camp.
With Regards,
SSG Thinesh John,
Unit Sergeant Major,

Basic Survival Training(23 Nov - 24 Nov)
Day One
We learn some of the edible plants and fruits in Ubin and also learn how to test whether the plants are edible or not. After that we went to our camp site at mama beach by trekking. We set up our tents in the forest. Than we learn how to make fire with basic survival equipment and learn how to skin some animals like frogs and fishes. We got a hands-on experience on skinning a frog. After dinner, we have a solo walk in the forest. Had AAR and went back to our tents to sleep.
Day Two
After breakfast, we were splited into 2 groups East and Central. We learned basic animals traps and different temporary shelters for different enviroment. After that we learn basic First Aid skills and water collection technique. Unset our tents, area cleaning than trekked back to Jetty and had certicate presentation.
Overall, I said the camp is fun as we had a lot of hands-on experience and also I made new friends there. But the camp was a bit too short as most of us could not absorb and remember all the things we learned.
Please ignore all spelling mistakes and grammer error.Thank You.
